Harold Mendenhall GP Prize

  • Two awards
    • Master level $500
    • PhD level $1,500
  • Crystal Trophy awarded to each recipient.
  • Criteria:
    • Completed all requirements of his/her graduate program in Geophysics or Geophysical Engineering.
    • For the academic year in which the award is made, the Awardee must have graduated in August or December of that year or must have successfully defended and completely checked out of program by the deadlines imposed by the Grad School for the May graduation ceremony of that year.
    • Awardee shall have, during his or her graduate program, demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
    • Awardee shall have demonstrated the ability to conduct cutting-edge research, as manifested by publications in or submissions to peer-reviewed journals, presentations at professional meetings, and participation in collaborative projects on- and off-campus.
    • Awardee shall have demonstrated, throughout his or her studies at Mines, the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct.
    • Awardee may have, but does not necessarily need, a record of service to the Department and to the University beyond his or her academic responsibilities.
