The Pickett Papers

Dr. George Pickett, professor at Mines from 1968-1969 and 1973-1983, is a historical figure in the development of geophysical methods. He created the Pickett Plot, which helps estimate water saturation (Sw) in a reservoir.

In our archives, we found his notes from GP432 and thought they would be of interest to inquiring and aspiring geophysicists.

Find out more about George Pickett and check out his photos on our GP@100 Faculty photo pages. His photo is in the 1966, 1971, and 1976 faculty photo pages.
