Assistant Professor Ge Jin has been elected to represent District 3 of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). The SEG is a nonprofit organization with 11,000 members in 126 countries. The organization provides information, tools, and resources to
- Advance the science of exploration geophysics;
- Support humanitarian efforts; and
- Accelerate geophysical innovation.
Jin hopes to involve more early career geophysicists in the organization. He will represent Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.
