Four missions were selected as finalists in the NASA Earth System Explorer program, of which two will be selected for flight after the current development phase.
Two of the four missions include Geophysics faculty on their science teams:
- Bia Villas Boas on ODYSEA: Ocean Dynamics and Surface Exchange with the Atmosphere
- Matt Siegfried on EDGE: Earth Dynamics Geodetic Explorer
