- Marine electromagnetic methods
- Submarine groundwater systems
- Imaging magmatic systems of volcanic systems to mitigate volcanic hazards
- Capturing the shallow (<200 meters to seafloor) fluid dynamics of marine hydrocarbon seeps to better understand their spatial and temporal variability
- Developing new high-resolution controlled source electromagnetic instruments/methods for use in marine archeological studies and collecting geotechnical data on the shallow subseafloor relevant to offshore infrastructure projects
- Paleolandscape reconstruction with scientific and indigenous knowledge
