Congratulations to Dr. Eileen Martin, who has just received the SIAM Activity Group on Geosciences Early Career Prize. This significant prize is awarded to an early career professional in geosciences every other year for distinguished contributions to the field in the three calendar years preceding the award year.
The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is the leading international organization of researchers, educators, practitioners, and students whose primary interest is in mathematics and computational science and their applications.
This is an excellent recognition of Eileen’s scholarship and yet another illustration of the caliber of the recent hires to the Mines faculty.
