The Department is delighted to have two of our graduate students recognized for their outstanding technical work at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists Annual Meeting in San Antonio, this past September.
Odette Aragao, who is a PhD student working with the Center for Wave Phenomena, presented Elastic Full Waveform Inversion with Probabilistic Petrophysical Model Constraints. Tugrul Konuk, who, also, is a PhD student working with CWP, presented 3D Tensorial Elastodynamics for Anisotropic Media.
Both Odette’s and Tugrul’s presentations were ranked by their fellow SEG members as among the top 25 papers presented at the conference, from among 1,077 total papers presented. Congratulations, Odette and Tugrul!
