Dr. Ebru Bozdağ and her computational and global seismology team have been featured by the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) for their work in planetary seismology. The team, which uses the Frontera supercomputer at the TACC has been using full-waveform inversion to model attenuation, azimuthal anisotropy, and radial anisotropy in order to develop models of the Earth’s interior.
Bozdag’s research is leading to a better understanding not only of Earth’s interior, but also of the interior structure of Mars, and it is providing new platforms to support the delivery of data, computation and services to the seismological community.
