AUTOMATIC DEPTH ESTIMATION TECHNIQUES IN POTENTIAL FIELDS

July 26, 2002

Houston

Presented by
Gravity and Magnetics Research Consortium
Colorado School of Mines

The Gravity and Magnetics Research Consortium at the Colorado School of Mines is organizing a one-day workshop on automatic depth estimation techniques in potential field methods. The workshop will be held in Houston, Texas, at the Marathon Oil Tower Conference Center, on July 26, 2002. The workshop will cover topics such as Euler and Werner deconvolution, local wavenumber (SPI), Compu-Depth, Naudy and other similar methods and also the recent developments based upon continuous wavelet transform analyses. Tutorials on basic theory, overview of the methods, as well as practical implementation, and case histories will be presented. This workshop should be of interest to geophysicists who employ gravity, magnetic, and the more recent gravity gradiometry data in oil and gas exploration, mineral exploration, and environmental and archaeological problems.
