  • The paper "The Magnetic Field Lines of Two Currents" (with S. Stefanescu) received the Romanian Academy prize for its "theoretical value and elegance".
  • The paper "Quasi-static Transient Response of a Conducting Half-Space: An approximate Representation" published in 1979 was selected as one of the all time "Classic Papers" in GEOPHYSICS by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists in 1985.
  • The paper “Automatic detection of UXO magnetic anomalies using extended Euler deconvolution” (with Kristofer Davis and Yaoguo Li) received the Best Student paper award at the 2005 Society of Exploration Geophysicists convention.
